At Doodles of Your Dreams, our journey began not with dogs, but with a deep passion for serving others. For over 20 years, we dedicated our lives to running a Christian camp program for children and adults with special needs.
With my background as a pediatric nurse and my husband’s experience in leadership and ministry, we poured our hearts into creating a place of joy, belonging, and purpose. It was work that fulfilled us, and we cherished every moment.
But life took an unexpected turn in 2012 when we were asked to step aside. Suddenly, we found ourselves searching for a new purpose. After much prayer and reflection, we knew one thing for certain: whatever we did next had to be meaningful.
During this time, we welcomed two beautiful Bernedoodles into our lives—dogs that quickly became the heart of our home and a source of endless joy. Their intelligence, gentle temperament, and loving nature made them the perfect companions, and people constantly asked, “Where can we get a dog like yours?” That question, along with encouragement from family who were experienced breeders, planted the seed for something new. With faith as our guide, we dove into learning everything we could about responsible breeding, genetics, and canine well-being.
Now, nearly four years later, Doodles of Your Dreams is dedicated exclusively to breeding exceptional Bernedoodles—known for their affectionate personalities, hypoallergenic coats, and loyal companionship. Based in Waco, Texas, our mission is to raise well-socialized, healthy puppies that will be a perfect fit for their forever families. We believe that dogs aren’t just pets—they’re family, and we take great care to ensure that each of our puppies finds the right home.
Entrepreneurship has been both freeing and challenging, but nothing compares to the fulfillment we feel when families tell us how much they love their new furry friend. Every litter teaches us something new, and every puppy reminds us of the beauty of unconditional love.
Our hope is that through our breeding program—and through the stories and insights we share—you not only find the perfect Bernedoodle but also discover a little inspiration along the way. Because sometimes, when life feels uncertain, all you need to do is take a step forward. And if you’re lucky, a dog will be there to lead the way.
